Stress Awareness Month – April 2021
Did you know that over 17.9 million working days are lost every year because of stress? (HSE, 2019)
It is one of the great public health challenges of our time and is believed to trigger 70% of visits to doctors and 85% of serious illnesses. It can cause health problems such as anxiety, depression, insomnia and heart disease.
Recognising and dealing with stress in the workplace is important, as stresses of workload and working relationships are common. Peritus Health can support your business in this area with services such as Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, HSE Stress Risk Assessment & Strategy Workshops.
If you are interested in any of these services contact us at admin@peritushealth.com.

On your feet Britain – 29th April 2021
Stand up to sedentary working with “On your Feet Britain” day! Employees and individuals across the country will be encouraged to get up off their seats and convert sitting time to standing time.
Research shows that regular movement throughout the day can lead to increased motivation, improved concentration, reduced back/neck pain and many more wellbeing and performance benefits.
To take part, employees are encouraged to make some simple changes to be more active during the working day, and these should be promoted throughout the rest of the year. These include:
- Stand and take a break from your computer every 30 minutes
- Use the stairs more
- Arrange standing or walking meetings
- Eat your lunch away from your desk
Go to our health and wellbeing page for more info on our services. For more information visit their Facebook page.
