The HSE visited their site and issued a ‘fee for intervention’ notice relating to absence of occupational hygiene assessments and health surveillance. They were given a date to have this complete by.
Our Hygienist conducted a site visit and completed Health Risk Assessment which identified their exposure monitoring and health surveillance needs.
An immediate action plan was put in place for implementation before the workplace air monitoring so that the measurements did not need repeating post action.
A targeted health surveillance programme was implemented, and a summary of the programme outcomes was provided for the HSE review.
Throughout this period, we have guided their health risk management process, the working environment improvements, and people’s understanding of staff practices.
