No Smoking Day is on the 10th March! Despite all the knowledge available, 78,000 people die every year from smoking. Here’s a few reasons why you and your team should break the habit:
- Your lungs will thank you! Cigarette smoke contains more than 7000 chemicals, at least 69 of which are known to cause cancer. Smoking is directly responsible for approximately 90 percent of lung cancer deaths.
- Look after your wallet! It’s no secret that smoking is expensive, but did you know that tobacco is 30% less affordable than 2007, and that the average smoker spends £2050 a year.
- Protect your colleagues and loved ones! Breathing in second-hand smoke increases the risk of lung cancer to those around you by 24%.
